Initiating and Progressing Multi-Therapy Approaches in Concussion Management Course

While there may not be a clear-cut protocol in concussion management, it is widely agreed that it requires a comprehensive rehab approach for those with persisting symptoms post-concussion. Join us as we discuss how to initiate and progress a variety of rehab strategies: manual, visual, vestibular, balance, auditory, cognitive, and even psychological. You will learn about available technologies for assessment and monitoring progress as well as what you can do if you don’t have access to technology or specialty providers.

The focus includes how to transfer findings from concussion-related assessments into treatment progressions based on novel and comprehensive training activities through a case-study approach.

This live, online course will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Mark your calendars and join us!

If you can't join us live, you'll get on-demand access in 360NeuroGO following the live event.

You will be exposed to a variety of case studies across the lifespan (adolescent to geriatric) with persisting symptoms post-concussion. You will learn clinical pearls in both current and future trends in concussion management, including the use of targeted questionnaires to identify trajectories, perceived limitations, and/or psychological stressors that can affect outcomes. We'll also emphasize how to develop targeted interventions from the evaluation, how to identify when a further referral is needed, and the importance of an interdisciplinary approach.

We'll be discussing...

Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Define characteristics of concussion based on the most current consensus statement.
  • Obtain comprehensive intake and review of past medical history from patient and/or caregiver, including identification of yellow flags to identify psychological stressors and risk factors that may affect their outcomes.
  • Recognize most appropriate assessments based on current trends and research in concussion management.
  • Integrate targeted interventions based on impairments identified through reliable tests and measures as well as specific concussion trajectories.
  • Sequence and progress a variety of treatment strategies that is specific to the patient

A knowledge-to-action bootcamp that bridges the gap between evidence-based education and clinical decision-making skills in vestibular medicine. This bootcamp is a novel approach for translating clinical vestibular knowledge to practice and applying it to complex clinical scenarios using precision-driven care plans.
