This course expands on our Introduction to Vestibular Rehabilitation Certificate Course. This course starts with a discussion on the value of establishing a trusting connection with patients, the importance of establishing an early diagnosis, and the impact of a delayed diagnosis. You gain more insight into developing targeted questions for the intake to create a working and differential diagnosis to aid you in what vestibular and/or bedside tests are indicated.
You will also learn the guiding principles of vestibular rehabilitation and how to transition from exam findings to interventions. You'll hear a discussion on age-related vestibular findings and learn the importance of customizing the care plan. The content of this course was primarily designed to provide a foundation for more advanced, Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation (CCVR) Course.
The objectives of this course are targeted toward a better understanding of vestibular-related concepts in the preparation of the CCVR coursework and competency-based skills as a more advanced practitioner.
